Here is a story I would like to share with you and any buyers of the EcoTrike.
My father and I purchased a Protean ET8 from you. We were at the airport to take a trip to California, Hawaii, and then a cruise to Alaska. The airlines were asking about the trike batteries as there are guidelines they have to follow. They wanted to know the voltage. I told them it was a 48v battery. They asked my father if it was a lithium battery, he said yes. They told us we could not take our trike on the plane because of the battery. I told them we were assured it was safe for the plane. I, unfortunately, left the EcoTrikes manual at home that said it was a sealed lead acid battery. Which is acceptable on a plane. I got on my phone to search on your website for the manual. We found the information and the trike got to go with us.
My dad can not walk far due to all his health concerns and he didn't want to rent a scooter like most use as he felt he didn't need one like that.
Your trike was a life saver for us. My dad is 88 years old and because of your scooter, he is happy to go everywhere.
Please let your customers know a 48volt lithium battery can not go on a plane. The vacation could be ruined. Airlines only allow a 100watt lithium battery.
We just recently traded our EcoTrike in for a new AWD EcoTrike which has a Li 48v 22ah battery which can not go on a plane so we purchased a lead acid battery to switch out for airline travel. We can still be adventurous.

Over the years we have dealt with a lot of companies. Some good, some not so good and some that didn’t care. But when we met Ian Shearer we knew this company was going to be different. We purchased 2 (two) of the MP Trikes at the Florida State Fair this year (2021). One reason we purchased them was because of the honesty and straight forwardness of Ian. We are older and this helps us to remain mobile and do the things we enjoy doing. The quality of the trike exceeds our expectations. Very well made, easy to operate and simple to remove the seat post, fold the handle bars and removing the battery makes it easy to load both of them in our SUV.
Sometimes when you purchase an item you immediately have buyers remorse. Ian took care of that feeling immediately. Once we got our trikes home we went around our neighborhood and loved how easy it was to enjoy the outdoors. We returned home and through an error on my part we arched the connector trying to charge the battery and damaged the component in the motor, which is very difficult to repair and needed to be replaced. We called Ian and he said he would send Kelly and Wayne (who are the Mid-Florida representatives for sales, maintenance and repair.) Kelly and Wayne are two of the nicest and most knowable people on their product to deal with. Within a very short time Wayne had our trike diagnosed and repaired (with a new motor). We told Wayne that the problem was our fault and we expected to pay for repair cost and time. They said they would let Ian know what occurred and that Ian would be in contact with us. They said Ian was a very fair and honest man and he would take good care of us. That evening Ian called and spoke with us indicating Kelly and Wayne had relayed the adjustments, parts and time for the repair. Lo and behold Ian being the person he is told us there would be “no charge” to us, and that everyone makes mistakes and to just enjoy the trikes. Who does this? The answer is simple, Ian from EcoTrikes.
Just a word to anyone looking for a great product to help maintain your mobility. life and just have fun, make sure you buy the original EcoTrike (not a knock off) and you will have many years of fun to come. By the way, it is great at Disney!

"I cannot thank you enough for selling us this trike. She absolutely loves it and rides it every day. It is so great to see her get out the house on a daily basis just to take a ride on her trike. She even rode it to the Doctor’s office last week. Before we had the trike it was weeks sometimes before she would ever leave the house. ( I took her license away a few years ago so she is not allowed to drive the car!!) Although she has been known to steal the car to drive it to Target once in a while. So now I’m hoping that as she has the trike she will not feel the need to steal the car anymore."

"My wife and I are full time RV’ers, therefore we travel extensively around the country. Unfortunately for me I have two bad knees and neuropathy in both feet which really makes getting around very uncomfortable. We were in Florida last year and went to the Tampa RV show to see all the new models and also the many different accessories and products that were available for RV’ers. I was looking for a scooter or trike to get around on that was light weight and convenient to take down and transport. That is when I met Ian and was introduced to the EcoTrike. I have had many people look at it and question me about the quality and the price. I have told them all the same, this has been the best investment I have ever made to improve my comfort and mobility, ever. Period. My trike has been coast to coast and used on blacktop, gravel, sand and grass and it has performed flawlessly. Not one issue ever. Their knobby tire up front would be ideal for terrain other than pavement and concrete. Long story short, I am absolutely satisfied with this product from day one. "We love our EcoTrikes. My husband and I had other three wheel trikes for a couple of years and they were very insecure and wobbly. But the EcoTrike is very solid and so much smoother and we love the front light and underneath LED lights so we can ride in the dark. We added baskets in the back and bicycle mirrors and cup holders to complete our riding experience. I like riding sitting down and my husband likes riding standing up like a Segway. Both are very comfortable. There is a lot of room for our feet and we love the cell phone USB twin charger that is built in too. Ian and his team have been awesome. Very helpful and quick to respond to any of our needs. We love our EcoTrikes!"
